I think I've reached that point in NaNo where I'm too sick of writing all the time and thinking about giving up. It'll go away eventually, but I just can't force myself to write today. :( Le sigh.

The last 600 or so words I wrote yesterday were complete shit, and I just want to scrap them. It's a big no-no in NaNo, and it's something I very rarely do in general, but I'm seriously considering it right now.

Haha I was just updating my NaNo page and looking longingly at your word count, realising you're ahead of me. *g*

I'm already quite sure I won't make the 50k. But that's ok, since I'm very happy with most of what I've written so far. For me it's more about telling the story than the word count right now. Maybe that would help you too? Focus on what you want to say with what you're writing, why it needs to come out of your brain and become that story.

I think it's the story that's currently disappointing me. I've been writing very similar scenes lately, and maybe I need a change of pace to get back into it, but I have issues with skipping ahead, and I need to continue with the progression of the story. I'm just sick of it right now, I think. Every scene I've been doing for days and days have been the same three characters. I think I've run out of inspiration.

Then just say "fuck it" and write in something fun? I mean, hell, I'm currently writing a scene where my two guys are ballet dancing together and the one asks the other out, thinking that "maybe the man of his life did come in tights and orange leg warmers". :)

NaNo is supposed to be fun, let go of your inner editor and just write whatever makes you smile or cry or hot or intrigued. Have ninja's! Suicide! Rape! Drugs! Flying monkeys! *g*

You'll have time to edit it as much as you want later. Now, what you need is to keep writing. However, I definitely agree with Indy in that a change of pace seems needed. NaNo should be fun to do (and a challenge too, obviously) so write about something that would really make you feel better, no matter the way it affects the characters. Whatever you feel like seeing happening in your story.

Hope you feel better about it all very soon. You already have all my admiration for taking part in it and writing so much. *worships your writing abilities and dedication*

You shouldn't give up. NaNo even says there will be a low point, so I expected it. I just wanted to whine about it, I guess. :P But if you have any inspiration left for the story, you should keep going.
